Itineraries of a horde. Conceptualization of two video art works around the ecuavóleyResumen:El presente proyecto es una investigación sobre la parte sociocultural del ecuavóley en la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador, en donde se realizaron las observaciones de campo, como principal método de investigación, para recabar la mayor información posible y posteriormente mapearla y narrarla mediante la creación de dos obras de videoarte tituladas: Intersticios (3 min.) y Pulsiones (3 min. 6 s.), realizadas en Julio del 2016, con su respectiva teorización y conceptualización.La ruta hasta llegar al lugar idóneo, al estilo de un artista como etnógrafo (Hal Foster), para observar y analizar el mundo del ecuavóley en todos sus aspectos, se alcanzó después de un largo proceso a través de varios años hasta llegar a ser parte de esta práctica cultural y deportiva, notando que carece de estructura, tal como las hordas de las que habla Émile Durkheim, que tiene como mecanismo de unión sus semejanzas.Todos los pasos de este proceso: el acercamiento, la observación, la investigación, la teorización, la creación de las obras de arte con su conceptualización… favorecen el afianzamiento de una historia del ecuavóley que contribuye a su desarrollo.Palabras clave: Ecuavóley, videoarte, artista como etnógrafo, horda, cultura, identidad, Intersticios, Pulsiones.Abstract:This project is an investigation about the sociocultural part of ecuavóley in Cuenca, Ecuador, where the field observations, as the main research method, were conducted to gather as much information as possible, and then mapped this sport and tell about it by creating two video art works titled: Interstices (3 min.) and Instincts (3 min. 6 s.) performed in July, 2016 with their respective theorizing and conceptualization.The route the reach the right place, in the style of an artist as ethnographer (Hal Foster) to observe and analyze the world of ecuavóley in all its aspects, was reached after a long process through several years to became part of this cultural and sportive praxis, noticing that it lacks of structure, such as the hordes that Émile Durkheim mentions, which have as joining mechanism its similarities.All the steps in this process: the approach, observation, research, theorizing, creating works of art with this conceptualization… favour the consolidation of a history of ecuavóley that contributes to its development.Keywords: Ecuavóley, video art, artist like ethnographer, horde, culture, identity, Interstices, Instincts.
