Creativity and education: Importance of creativity in teaching and learning processes

Description: Creativity is a fundamental factor for the development of our lives, however, its study has been postponed by conventional educational systems that have privileged the stimulation of logic, memory and reason, neglecting many times the development of the imagination, the production of ideas, and induce curiosity and critical questions. Faced with this reality, it is the teachers who should promote creative thinking as a transversal axis in the teaching and learning processes. La creatividad es un factor fundamental para el desarrollo de nuestras vidas, sin embargo, su estudio ha sido postergado por sistemas educativos convencionales que han privilegiado el estímulo de la lógica, la memoria y la razón, descuidando muchas veces el desarrollo de la imaginación, la producción de ideas, e inducir curiosidad y cuestionamientos críticos. Ante esta realidad, son los docentes quienes deberían fomentar el pensamiento creativo como eje transversal en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
