The norm that regulates the basic aspects of the curriculum of the Higher Diploma in Dramatic Art in Spain and the professional profile of the course, establishes that its graduates must be trained and qualified for research, and, being so, the curriculum developed in the Autonomous Community of Galicia includes Introduction to Scenic Research as a compulsory subject in the syllabus. With this paper, written after being teaching the subject for more than five years at the Galician School of Dramatic Art, we present our proposal for its development in a theoretical, methodological and practical perspective. We pay special attention to the importance that research may have in the qualification of a professional who, in addition to being a creative artist, can also be an educator or a researcher, three fields where applied research is especially relevant. Sharing our experiences, inquiries and uncertainties concerning the subject and its nature, can be a remarkable way to promote a necessary and fruitful dialogue between people and Colleges, where research training has a similar value. El Real Decreto que regula en España los aspectos básicos del currículo de los estudios superiores de Arte Dramático, establece, en su perfil profesional, que las personas tituladas deberán estar capacitadas para el ejercicio de la investigación, por lo que, entre las materias de formación obligatoria del currículo vigente en la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia, se incluye la denominada Introducción a la Investigación Escénica. Con este trabajo, elaborado a partir de la propia experiencia como profesor de la materia durante más de cinco años y en la Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Galicia, presentamos nuestra propuesta para su desarrollo en los planos teórico, metodológico y práctico. Prestamos especial atención a la relevancia que pueda tener en la cualificación de un profesional que, además de creador, puede ser investigador y docente, campos en los que la investigación aplicada es tan importante. Compartir experiencias, indagaciones e incertidumbres en torno a esta materia y a su naturaleza, puede potenciar un diálogo, siempre necesario y fructífero, entre personas y Facultades, allí donde la formación en investigación tenga un valor similar.
