This thesis relies on one question ¿Why do Ecuadorians dont have equality in the access to Justice? By means of the Justice Houses Establishment Project, it is sought to eliminate or reduce the restrictions that prevent citizens to make effective their right to access to an efficient, transparent and opportune justice. The Multi-Door System was originated in the District of Columbia, United States, as a solution to the dissatisfaction with the justice system in this country; the idea consisted in the creation of one large courthouse, with multiple dispute resolution doors or programs to reduce the amount of cases at the ordinary justice and to guarantee the human right to access to Justice. This project presented highly satisfactory results and it expanded quickly around the U.S. and later to foreign countries such as: Colombia, Argentina, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nigeria, Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico, among others. The Multi-Door System materializes through the Justice Houses, which are multi-agencies centers where peoples cases are received and analyzed, so then they could be referred to an appropriate resolution door. The Justice Houses offer free services such as: legal consultancy, psychological support, social work, Mediation Center, referral center, claims checking and tracking and community, neighborhood and schools programs about rights diffusion, conflict prevention and other important topics.
Este trabajo se centra en el problema de ¿Por qué los ecuatorianos no tienen igualdad en el Acceso a la Justicia?, a través del Proyecto de Implementación de Casas de Justicia en el Ecuador se busca eliminar o reducir las barreras que impiden a los ciudadanos hacer efectivo su derecho de acceder a una Justicia ágil, transparente y oportuna. El Sistema Multipuertas nació en el Distrito de Columbia, Estados Unidos, como una solución a la insatisfacción con la Administración de Justicia de dicho país; la idea consistió en la creación de un tribunal que ofrece múltiples mecanismos de solución de conflictos para reducir la cantidad excesiva de demandas en la justicia ordinaria, y garantizar así el derecho humano de acceso a la Justicia...
