Identificación y caracterización de las principales enfermedades del tomate (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) causadas por virus en la zona de Pimampiro

De acuerdo a las reacciones sintomatológicas de un grupo de plantas o especies diferenciales, a las propiedades físicas (punto de dilución final, punto de inactivación térmica y longevidad "in vitro"), transmisión por áfidos y a las reacciones serológicas, se determinó que los virus que atacan al tomate (lycopersicon esculentum Mill) en la zona de Pimampiro de la Provincia de Imbabura son: el Virus X de la Papa (VXP), Virus Y de la Papa (VYP), Virus deT Mosaico de Tabaco (VMT) y Virus de la Mancha Anular de Tomate (VMAT). Tomando en cuenta la incidencia o presencia física de cada uno' de los virus se considera a VXP y VYP como los de mayor importancia, por estar ampliamente distribuidos en los lotes muestreados, sin dejar aparte VMT que es uno de los virus más agresivos y que mantiene el rango de hospedantes más amplio que ningún otro virus.
According to the symptomatological reactions in a group of plant or different species, to the physical properties (the dilution endpoint, the termal inactivation point and longevity "in vitro"), transmission by aphids and serological reactions,was ascertainable the attacking virus to the tomato(lycopersicon esculentum Mill) in Pimampiro, province of Imbabura, and they are: Potato Virus X (PVX), Potato Virus Y (PVY), Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) and Tomato Ringspot Virus (TomRSV). Taking into account, the incidence of physical presence of each one of the virus is c-onsidered PVX and PVY of major importance, because they are greatly distributed in the demostrated plots, without leaving appart to TMV, which is one of the more aggresive virus maintaining a providing lodging rank larget than the other viruses.
