Esta investigación tiene como propósito analizar, desde diferentes visiones las finanzas populares. Esta revisión se ha centrado en el análisis de las búsquedas en las principales bases de datos bibliográficas sobre Finanzas populares o microcrédito, tema del que se ha encontrado numerosas publicaciones en la literatura internacional asociado a la pobreza o a la inversión para el micro emprendimiento. Al respecto, se encontraron alrededor 2296 documentos científicos, el 98% corresponden a artículos científicos, el 2% a tesis. Se tomó una muestra intencional de 21 artículos, donde se determinó que la mayor producción científica es de Estados Unidos. Analizando las definiciones de los autores, el micro financiamiento, finanzas populares, o las demás acepciones encontradas enfocan sus discusiones en dos vías, una como financiamiento alternativo y popular; y otra como un instrumento para vencer la pobreza y promover el desarrollo.
This research aims to analyze, from different visions the popular finances. This review has focused on the analysis of the searches in the main bibliographic databases on popular finance or microcredit, subject of which has been found numerous publications in the international literature associated to the poverty or to the investment for the micro emprendimiento. About 2296 scientific papers were found, 98% correspond to scientific articles, 2% to theses. An intentional sample of 21 articles was taken, where it was determined that the greatest scientific production is from the United States. Analyzing the authors' definitions, micro financing, popular finances, or other accepted meanings focus their discussions in two ways, one as alternative and popular financing; and another as an instrument to overcome poverty and promote development.
