El presente trabajo de investigación tiene base en la empresa ambateña Planificación Decoración, Construcción S.A. (PLADECO S.A.), vinculada con la construcción de edificios y comercialización de bienes inmuebles, siendo esta una de las compañías mejor posicionadas en la ciudad de Ambato y en el transcurso de los últimos años a nivel nacional, con la ejecución de obras del estado en las ciudades más grandes del país. Debido a este crecimiento, en estos últimos años la empresa ha adquirido nuevos retos, en el campo de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional (SSO), con lo cual, esta área requiere de muchos controles para evitar multas o sanciones de parte del estado y evitar gastos operativos excesivos. Por lo anteriormente mencionado, el presente trabajo tiene como principal objetivo, evaluar el control interno del área de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional, además de diseñar índices de gestión para esta área que coadyuve en la disminución de sanciones y/o multas, permitiendo que los gastos operativos de la empresa disminuyan. Para esto, con la ayuda de los diferentes métodos de investigación científica, se efectuó la investigación de campo, que permitió ratificar la necesidad de la creación de índices de gestión para establecer estos como una herramienta de control dentro del área de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional de PLADECO S.A.
The present research work is based on the company Ambateña Planificación Decoración, Construcción S.A. (PLADECO SA), linked to the construction of buildings and commercialization of real estate, being this one of the best positioned companies in the city of Ambato and in the course of the last years at national level, with the execution of works of the state in the largest cities in the country. Due to this growth, in the last years the company has acquired new challenges, in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (SSO), which, this area requires many controls to avoid fines or sanctions from the state and avoid expenses operating costs. For the aforementioned, the main objective of this study is to evaluate the internal control of the Occupational Safety and Health area, as well as to design management indices for this area that contribute to the reduction of penalties and / or fines, operating costs. To this end, with the help of different methods of scientific research, field research was carried out, which allowed ratifying the need for the creation of management indices to establish these as a control tool within the Occupational Safety and Health area of PLADECO SA.
