Esta investigaci?n constituye parte de un proyecto de mayor dimensi?n cuyo prop?sito es la creaci?n de indicadores culturales en el contexto universitario ecuatoriano. El caso de estudio propuesto pretende analizar espec?ficamente el equipamiento, consumo y uso de las Tecnolog?as de la Informaci?n y Comunicaci?n (TIC) de los estudiantes de la carrera de Educaci?n B?sica de la Universidad Nacional de Educaci?n (UNAE) correspondiente al per?odo septiembre - febrero 2018. La finalidad es conocer los principales recursos tecnol?gicos de los universitarios, forma de consumo y uso tanto para actividades acad?micas como de ocio o entretenimiento. La metodolog?a es de orden cuantitativo-descriptivo. La t?cnica empleada es la encuesta con el instrumento denominado ?Encuesta de h?bitos y pr?cticas culturales de los estudiantes de la UNAE, 2018?. La sistematizaci?n de datos se realiza con el software SPSS y el an?lisis en funci?n de las variables g?nero, nivel econ?mico y edad. Entre los principales hallazgos sobresale que el equipamiento tecnol?gico del estudiante UNAE es alto, liderado por el tel?fono inteligente, computadora, conexi?n a internet y libros digitales, superando limitaciones socioecon?micas. Finalmente, el producto de la investigaci?n es la construcci?n del perfil tecnol?gico del estudiante UNAE.
This research is part of a larger project whose purpose is the creation of cultural indicators in the Ecuadorian context. The proposed case study aims to specifically analyze the equipment, consumption and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of the students of the Basic Education career of the National University of Education (UNAE) corresponding to the period September ? February 2018. The purpose is to know the main technological resources of university students, form of consumption and use for both academic activities, leisure or entertainment. The methodology is quantitative-descriptive. The technique used is the survey with the instrument called ?Survey of cultural habits and practices of students of UNAE, 2018?. The systematization of data is carried out with the SPSS software and the analysis according to the variables gender, economic level and age. Among the main findings it stands out that the technological equipment of the UNAE student is high, led by the smartphone, computer, internet connection and digital books, overcoming socioeconomic limitations. Finally, the product of the research is construction of the technological profile of the student UNAE.
