“How to arrive to McOndo”

Description: During the nineties several diagnoses were conducted as a new age of the Latin American narrative was perceived. These discourses usually take into account the “negative” condition that these narratives lack of. This paper intends to begin the design of other variables that will allow the description of this period from the interpretation of McOndo, the anthology that was prepared by Alberto Fuguet and Sergio Gómez, in 1996.
Durante la década del noventa se realizaron diversos diagnósticos sobre lo que se percibía como un nuevo momento de la narrativa latinoamericana. Esos discursos suelen considerar la condición “negativa”, carente, de esas narrativas. Este trabajo pretende empezar a diseñar otras variantes que puedan describir el período, a partir de la lectura del libro McOndo, la antología preparada por Alberto Fuguet y Sergio Gómez, en 1996.
