In 2012, the personal exhibition 1478 MB of the Cuban artist residing in the United States, María Magdalena Campos Pons, took place at Casa de las Americas, a famous institution Cuba. The exhibition was Magdalena's first in Cuba after emigrating 21 years ago and the overwhelming fact of her reintegration into the island's art circuit. The Cuban artist shows the connection with her genealogical past and the return to her native land after emigrating. In this way, the artist links her memory and dialogue about the conformation of a multicultural subject. Her discourse is amplified and is related to her work. María Magdalena Campos Pons is known in Cuba for the incorporation of reflective states and other codes fostered by experiential processes such as her migration and cultural exchange, which the artist somehow treated from a rereading of the history of the Cuban nation. En el año 2012 aconteció en Casa de las Américas, institución insigne de Cuba, la exposición personal 1478 MB de la artista cubana residente en los Estados Unidos, María Magdalena Campos Pons. La muestra fue la primera de Magdalena en Cuba luego de emigrar hace 21 años y el hecho contundente de su reinserción en el circuito del arte de la isla. La artista cubana muestra en sus piezas la conexión con su pasado genealógico y el retorno a su terruño natal después de emigrar para enlazar su memoria y dialogar sobre la conformación de un sujeto multicultural. Su discurso se amplifica y guarda relación con su obra conocida en Cuba por la incorporación de estados introspectivos y de otros códigos propiciados por procesos vivenciales como su migración y su intercambio cultural, que de algún modo eran tratados por la artista desde una relectura de la historia de la nación cubana.
