Description

An educational strategy about opportune detection of cervical cancer in women aged 30-to- 64 in Langos Panamericana and Juntus of Guano canton from January to June 2016 has been designed. A descriptive correlational, cross section and quantitative study was carried out. An interview with questions validated by a group of experts was applied to 61 women aged 30-to-64. The knowledge was evaluated according to the gotten score that means if the survey respondents answer 60% or more of the questions correctly, it will be satisfactory. The analysis was carried out with the Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program and Fisher's test was used for the relation between the variables with a level of meaning of 5%. The group of prevailing study was women aged 30-to-36 with 37.7% (23), 60,6% were married women (37), 80.3% had primary level of instruction (49), el 70.5% of women have not made pap test for the past 12 months (43). The level of knowledge about the opportune detection of cervical cancer was not satisfactory in 85.2% (52). There was no relation meaningful statistically between the level of knowledge and the studied variables. It is concluded that the level of knowledge about the opportune detection of cervical cancer is no satisfactory and it is related with the low coverage in the realization of pap test that is why it is necessary to implement this present strategy to beware the women about the prevention of cervical cancer by screening tests as pap test, so that the coverage of opportune detection of cancer can improve.
