BIOENSAYO DE IVERMECTINA CONTRA LARVAS DE AEDES AEGYPTI, ALTERNATIVA PARA CONTROL DEL DENGUE EN ECUADOR

The purpose of this research is to propose the use of ivermectin against the larvae of Aedes aegypti for dengue control in drinking water and as a vector control mechanism against the resistance of larvicides used today. In this study, various bioassays were conducted with ivermectin until 50% lethal dose (LD 50%) and it was demonstrated that with the use of antiparasitic human and veterinary use at very low concentrations, it is able to prevent the development of Aedes aegypti larvae. Results suggested that after 24 hours of exposure to an ivermectin dose of 300ug / L water produces 97.3% mortality of larvae in all stages
El prop?sito de esta investigaci?n es proponer el uso de ivermectina contra las larvas de Aedes aegypti, para el control del dengue, en agua de consumo humano y como mecanismo de control vectorial frente a la re- sistencia de larvicidas usados en la actualidad. En este estudio se realizaron varios bioensayos con ivermectina hasta obtener la dosis letal 50% (DL50%) y se demostr? que con el uso del antiparasitario de uso veterinario y humano a concentraciones muy bajas, es capaz de impedir el desarrollo de las larvas de Aedes aegypti. Nuestros resultados determinan que a las 24 horas de exposici?n con ivermectina a una dosis de 300ug/L de agua causa el 97,3% de mortalidad de las larvas en todos los estadios.
