“Dificultades en la Aplicación del Proceso de Atención de Enfermería en el Hospital General de Machala IESS octubre 2022 - abril2023”

Introducción: el proceso de atención de enfermería (PAE) es un método teórico y científico de enfermería que facilita el cuidado integral del paciente. Objetivo: determinar la aplicación del proceso de atención de enfermería en el Hospital IESS de Machala. Metodología: estudio no experimental, de tipo descriptivo-correlacional, transeccional con enfoque cuantitativo, con una muestra de 105 profesionales de enfermería de distintas áreas. Resultados: la edad promedio es de 36 años, tiempo de servicio 9 años, siendo el área de centro obstétrico el que cuenta con mayor número de enfermeras (n=22, %), el nivel de conocimiento del PAE fue regular en un 49.5% de los casos, en cuanto al nivel de aplicación del PAE los resultados obtenidos indican que el 94.3% lo aplica de forma óptima y en cuanto a los factores que dificultan el PAE se pudo constatar que el 67.6% tiene un puntaje optimo, al aplicar Rho de Spearman se demostró que no existe correlación entre las etapas de aplicación del PAE y las condiciones sociodemográficas. Conclusión: se encontró que la media de edad de 36 años, tiempo promedio de servicio de 9 años, la mayoría tiene conocimiento regular sobre PAE, pero mayoritariamente aplica de manera óptima el PAE, el tiempo es insuficiente y existe falta de reconocimiento institucional y registro de valoración de enfermería.
Introduction: the nursing care process (PAE) is a theoretical and scientific nursing method that facilitates comprehensive patient care. Objective: to determine the application of the nursing care process at the IESS Hospital in Machala. Methodology: non-experimental, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, with a sample of 105 nursing professionals from different areas. Results: the average age was 36 years old, time of service 9 years, the obstetric center is the area with the highest number of nurses (n=22, %), the level of knowledge of the PAE was regular in 49.5% of the cases, as for the level of application of the PAE the results obtained indicate that 94.3% apply it optimally, and with regard to the factors that make the EAP difficult, it was found that 67.6% have an optimal score; when Spearman's Rho was applied, it was shown that there is no correlation between the stages of application of the EAP and the sociodemographic conditions. Conclusion: the mean age was 36 years old, the average time of service was 9 years, most of them have regular knowledge about ECP, but most of them apply the ECP in an optimal way, the time is insufficient and there is a lack of institutional recognition and nursing assessment record.
