“Sobrecarga del cuidador de pacientes en Cuidados Paliativos en, Biblián y Déleg enero - marzo 2023”

Los cuidados paliativos es un cuidado activo a pacientes con enfermedades que no responden a tratamientos terapéuticos y curativos, se encarga de aliviar el sufrimiento a través de la identificación y evaluación temprana del dolor. El cuidador es quien realiza estas actividades antes mencionadas. Objetivo: Determinar la sobrecarga del cuidador de pacientes en cuidados paliativos en Biblián y Déleg en el periodo enero-marzo 2023. Metodología: Se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva, correlacional de corte transversal en una muestra de 102 cuidadores, el instrumento utilizado fue el test de Zarit que contiene 22 preguntas de tipo Likert, Resultados: Los hallazgos reflejan que el 86.3% de los cuidadores fueron mujeres, que residen en los cantones Biblián el 68.6% y Déleg con 31.4%, el 49 % tiene instrucción secundaria, el 38.2% son casados. La edad media del cuidador fue de 42 años (DE=12.62). Con respecto a la enfermedad del paciente el 41.2% tuvieron Diabetes Tipo 2. La mayoría tubo sobrecarga leve con 42.2%. El cantón de residencia se correlacionó levemente con la sobrecarga (0.048 p). Conclusión: Se concluyó, el nivel de sobrecarga de los cuidadores es leve, la mayoría son mujeres casadas, residentes del cantón Biblián y Déleg.
Palliative care is active care for patients with diseases that do not respond to therapeutic and curative treatments; these alleviate sick people suffering through early identification and assessment of pain. The caregiver is the one who performs these activities mentioned above. Objective: To determine the excess of work of people in charge of these patients in Biblián and Déleg cantons from January to March 2023. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional research was conducted, the sample was 102 caregivers, and the instrument used was the Zarit test containing 22 Likert-type questions. Results: The findings reflect that 86.3% of caregivers were women, 68.6% live in Biblián, and 31.4% in Déleg, 49% had secondary education, and 38.2% were married. The average age was 42 years (SD=12.62). Regarding the patient's disease, 41.2% had type 2 diabetes. Most of them presented a mild overload of work, 42.2%. The place where they live was slightly correlated with the excess of work (0.048 p). Conclusion: It was concluded that the caregiver overwork is mild; the majority are married women living in Biblián and Déleg cantons.
