Objetivo: Identificar los principales riesgos que pueden afectar la salud de las tejedoras de la Asociación de Toquilleras María Auxiliadora del Cantón Sígsig. Metodología: Investigación descriptiva cuantitativa, transversal y prospectiva. Universo y muestra: Todas las tejedoras de paja toquilla que pertenecen a la Asociación de Toquilleras María Auxiliadora del Catón Sígsig. Técnicas: Encuesta Instrumento: Formulario de encuesta. Resultados: El 24% de las tejedoras se encuentran entre 51-60 años, el 79% tienen instrucción primaria, el 56% son casadas, el 67% de las mujeres tienen entre 1-5 hijos, en relación a la experiencia laboral el 58% es ≥ 40 años, el 62% empieza a tejer de la edad de 5-10 años, el 85% manifiestan que permanecen demasiado tiempo sentada, el 52% opinan que las posiciones adoptadas para tejer no son cómodas, el 82% se dedica a tejer entre 1-7 horas al día, el 56% opina que la posición más adoptada es sentada¬; y la molestia más frecuente es dolor de espalda con el 45%, el 52 realiza su trabajo en el dormitorio, por lo que 99% necesita iluminación para tejer, 68% presenta múltiples molestias en la vista, para humedecer la paja el 53% menciona que utilizan las manos, el 60% conoce el tratamiento que recibe la paja, el cual 49% de socias han utilizado químicos, un 91% de mujeres presentan síntomas generales como cefaleas y alergias. Conclusión: Las tejedoras de paja toquilla están expuestas a riesgos en su salud por los años de experiencia, posiciones que adoptan y químicos que utilizan.
Objective: To identify the main risks that may affect the health of the weavers of the Association of Toquilleras María Auxiliadora of the Canton Sígsig. Methodology: Quantitative, transversal and prospective descriptive research. Universe and sample: All the straw weavers that are part of the Association of Toquilleras María Auxiliadora of the Caton Sígsig. Techniques: Survey Instrument: Survey form. Results: 24% of the weavers are between 51-60 years old, 79% have primary education, 56% are married, 67% of women have between 1-5 children, in relation to work experience 58 % is ≥ 40 years, 62% start weaving at the age of 5-10 years, 85% is manifested in that they remain too long seated, 52% that in the positions for the paper are not comfortable, 82% is dedicated to weaving between 1-7 hours a day, 56% thinks that the most adopted position is sitting; and the most frequent annoyance is back pain with 45%, 52 does its work in the bedroom, 99% needs lighting to weave, 68% has multiple discomfort in sight, to moisten the straw 53% points who used their hands, 60% know the treatment that straw receives, which 49% of societies have used chemicals, and 91% of women have general symptoms such as headaches and allergies. Conclusions: Straw weavers are exposed to the risks to their health from the years of experience, adoption positions and chemical products they use.
