Hoy en día, evaluar un proyecto de inversión es de gran importancia puesto que este procedimiento permite de manera cuantitativa y cualitativa las ventajas y desventajas a asignar ciertos recursos a una idea de negocios determinada. En este ámbito el objetivo general de este trabajo de investigación es determinar la factibilidad de implementar una microempresa de producción y comercialización de productos de madera realizadas por los PPLS del Centro de Rehabilitación Social de Turi, Cuenca-Ecuador, a través de un enfoque cuantitativo de investigación y el empleo del método inductivo – deductivo. Con los resultados de los indicadores, se concluye que el proyecto de inversión es factible porque se tiene un Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR) positiva del 16,44% mayor a la TMAR que es del, 8% un VAN positivo de $11327,26 y una Relación Costo/Beneficio de $1,20, la misma que es mayor que uno; sin embargo; será necesario diversificar la línea de productos de comercialización con el objetivo de mejor el rendimiento de la inversión. Se concluye que el presente estudio de factibilidad, es viable de implementarse, ya que existe un mercado potencial que acepta el proyecto y con la implementación de estrategias de marketing y la diversificación de los productos se podría alcanzar mayores niveles de rentabilidad.
Nowadays, evaluating an investment project is of great importance since this procedure allows quantitatively and qualitatively the advantages and disadvantages of allocating certain resources to a specific business idea. In this context, the general objective of this research is to determine the feasibility of implementing a microenterprise for the production and commercialization of wood products made by the persons deprived of liberty (PPLS by its Spanish acronym) at the Social Rehabilitation Center of Turi, Cuenca-Ecuador, through a quantitative research approach and the use of the inductive-deductive method. Following the results of the indicators, it is concluded that the investment project is feasible because it has a favorable Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 16.44%, higher than the AARR, which is 8%, a positive NPV of $11327.26, and a Cost/Benefit Ratio of $1.20, which is superior to one. However, it will be necessary to diversify the line of marketing products to improve the return on investment. It is concluded that the present feasibility study is viable to be implemented since there is a potential market that accepts the project. Thanks to the implementation of marketing strategies and the diversification of the products, higher levels of profitability could be achieved.
