La pandemia COVID – 19 ha tenido un gran impacto en la economía mundial, ha causado una gran pérdida de empleos afectando la estabilidad financiera de las familias, es por esto que, en la ciudad de Cañar algunos ciudadanos afectados por este problema han tenido la iniciativa de crear emprendimientos para subsanar sus necesidades y los de la comunidad. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar los emprendimientos que han logrado adaptarse en época de crisis mediante la innovación. La investigación que se presenta es de tipo cuantitativa, descriptiva y analítica. Se ha realizado una encuesta a personas de la ciudad que cuentan con un emprendimiento creado en el último año; obteniéndose como resultado el 91.7% de los emprendimientos son nuevos, en su gran mayoría el primero de estos individuos y un aspecto importante que no cuentan con una planificación previa para su negocio generando como conclusión inestabilidad a los emprendimientos que no perdurarán en el tiempo y tendrán un declive rápido en el mercado. COVID - 19 pandemic has had a significant effect on the world economy. It has produced great job losses affecting families' financial stability. For this reason, some citizens affected by this problem have created businesses in Cañar to meet their needs and those of the community. This investigation aims to identify enterprises that have been able to adapt themselves in times of crisis by means of innovation. The research is quantitative, descriptive, and analytical. A survey applied to people who have enterprises in the last year in the city showed that 91.7% of them are new, and mostly, it is the first enterprise for these individuals. An important aspect is that they do not have a previous plan for their business, generating instability for the enterprises that will not last in time and will have a rapid decline in the market.
