Objetivo: Conocer mediante la revisión bibliográfica a la resina Bullk Fill como material innovador, ventajas y desventajas, cualidades, composición, propiedades y características que la tienen como el material utilizado por la mayoría de odontólogos para las restauraciones dentales. Metodología: La información se obtuvo mediante una cuidadosa selección de artículos bibliográficos de directorios científicos como Google Scholar, Pubmed y S-cielo, los cuales fueron correctamente analizados utilizando los principios de exclusión e inclusión. Resultados: Tanto para adultos como para niños, las resinas de relleno en bloque son resinas que solo se utilizan en la región posterior y al igual que las resinas convencionales, su aplicación se puede realizar correctamente con las mismas técnicas, lo que resulta en una aplicación sencilla, segura y con resultados efectivos. Conclusión: A diferencia de los composites convencionales que carecen cualidades efectivas, la resina de relleno masivo tiene la ventaja de la plasticidad, lo que permite un mejor manejo y facilita la aplicación posterior siendo mucho más ventajoso e ideal, por otro lado, las resinas de relleno en bloque tienen la posibilidad de contraerse y estresarse durante el fotocurado, lo que facilita la adaptación del composite a la cavidad restaurada.
Background: Bulk fill resins are defined as a composite resin that is applied in the posterior sector and that, thanks to its beneficial characteristics, allows it to be worked with the block filling technique, thus it can be used in large cavities of up to 5 mm. without having the need to apply another restorative material, helping to speed up the procedure, reducing operative maneuvers for cavity filling, and obtaining direct restorations with high quality of longevity and aesthetics. Objective: To know, through the bibliograp hic review, the Bulk Fill resin as an innovative material, advantages and disadvanta ges, qualities, composition, properties and characteristics that have it as the material used by the majority of dentists for dental restorations. Methodology: The information was obtained through a careful selection of bibliographic articles from scientific directories such as Google Scholar, PubMed and S-cielo, which were chosen using the exclusion and inclusion principles. Results: For both adults and children, block filling resins are resins that are only used in the posterior region and, like conventional resins, their application can be performed correctly with the same techniques, resulting in an application simple, safe and with effective results. Conclusion: Unlike conventional composites that lack these qualities, massive filler resins have the advantage of plasticity, which allows better handling and facilitates subsequent application, in turn being much more advantageous and ideal than resins. Block fillers contract and become stressed during light-cur ing, which facilitates adaptation of the composite to the restored cavity.
