El término femicidio se originó en América Latina y su impulsadora fue Marcela Lagarde. Después de sus estudios realizados se da la concepción del término y se define como el asesinato de mujeres, cuyo origen del delito es el odio, creado por la relación de poder entre la pareja, y en fin, cualquier tipo de relación. Dentro de esta figura delictual se encuentra una clasificación que es la principal y la base para el estudio del delito considerado como: femicidio íntimo, no íntimo y vinculado. Para que pueda existir este delito debe constar de un sujeto activo el cual puede ser cualquier persona y pasivo, la mujer, es decir quien recibe la agresión, sobre todo debe reunir todos los elementos objetivos del delito en especial la relación de poder que existe en la pareja y la víctima quien generalmente es de género femenino.
The word Femicide has its origin in Latin America and its promoter was Marcela Lagarde, after its studies, the word can be defined as women murder, it is caused by hate, created by the balance of power relationship between the couple, or any kind of relationship. Inside the crime type there is a classification that is the main and the base for studying the crime considered as: intimate femicide, non-intimate and related. For this crime there must be an active subject who could be anybody and a passive person- woman – it means who receives the aggression. Above all it must gather all the objective elements of the crime specially the balance of power that exists in the couple and the victim who is generally a woman.
