La importancia de tener redes de fibra óptica eficientes en la actualidad y con esto la estabilidad en los servicios que se brinden por este medio, es de suma importancia, razón por la cual se realiza esta investigación que titula “Mejorar la eficiencia en la potencia de la red FTTH con tecnología G-PON de la empresa Puntonet en la ciudad de Cuenca sector ciudadela de los ingenieros” la misma que tiene como objetivo analizar las pérdidas de potencia sobre la red en mención, para esto se deberá seguir el siguiente procedimiento: Estudiar los conceptos fundaménteles sobre FTTH y además las arquitecturas principales para el despliegue de este tipo de redes; posteriormente, se indicara los dispositivos que serán usados para levantar la información en campo, los mismos que se utilizaran para realizar mediciones de la potencia en la red de fibra óptica, con la cual se podrá contrastar los valores medidos respecto a los datos simulados. La información obtenida se usará para levantar un plan de acción y de esta manera mejorar la potencia inestable en este segmento de red, para que al final se pueda llegar a conclusiones, recomendaciones y dejar planteado inquietudes de futuras investigaciones dentro del área de las redes FTTH. Con esta investigación se aportará con conocimiento para que las empresas de telecomunicaciones pueden reducir los inconvenientes generados en sus redes, mismos que son directamente reflejados con el grado de satisfacción de sus clientes; logrando a más de una solución técnica, reducir los costos de producción.
The importance of having efficient fiber optic webs nowadays and with this, the stability of the services offered to the end of this means is of an absolute importance. This is the reason for this research called “ Efficiency improvement in the powering of the FTTH web with G-PON technology, by Puntonet in the city of Cuenca, sector “Ciudadela de los Ingenieros”, which objective is analise the losses of power on the said web, for which the following procedure should be followed: Study the fundamental concepts about FTTH and main architectural features the displacement for these type of webs; afterwards, it will be indicated the type of means that will be used to obtain the information in the field, that will be utilized to stablish the measuring of the power on the fiber optics, with which it will be posible to the measured values with respect to the simulated data. The information obtained will be used to rise an action plan and this way to improve the unstable power on this segment of the web so that at the end it will be possible to arrive to conclusions, reccomendations and stablish aspects for future researches in the area of the FTTH webs. With this research, there will be a contribuition with knowledge, so that communication companies could reduce inconveniences originating on their webs, which are directly reflecte with an amount of satisfaction of their clients, in this way beeing able to reach not only a technical solution but also a reduction in their production.
