Se desarrolló una función objetivo para evaluar centros de acopio de piñón, que se encuentran distribuidos en la provincia de Manabí y optimizar la ubicación de futuros centros que se irán incorporando en el tiempo Para la formulación de la función objetivo se divide a la provincia en tres zonas, norte, centro y sur, en las que se procedieron a realizar el levantamiento de información de los centros de acopio, identificando y seleccionando las restricciones más influyentes respecto a los costos de transporte. Con la variable de diseño identificada (cantidad de recolección de fruto y/o semilla de piñón) se desarrolló el modelo matemático de la función objetivo, que relaciona el beneficio integral del cosechador con las ganancias de la planta de extracción de aceite de piñón. Se concluye del estudio que la ubicación de la zona norte genera mayor beneficio al tener la mayor recolección de piñón, mientras que la zona sur tiene los mayores costos de transporte, ya que esta zona tiene como principal actividad productiva el cultivo de maíz por lo que el transporte de piñón se encuentra asociado a este producto
Was developed an objetive function to evaluate collection centers of Jatropha Curcas, which are distributed in Manabi province and to optimize the location of future centers that will be incorporated along the time. For the objetive function formulation the province was divided in three zones, north, center and south, in which were proceeded to carry out the lifting of collection centers information, identifying and then selecting principal restrictions of the transportation costs. With the design variable identified ( amount of Jatropha curcas collected) was developed the mathematical model of the objetive function that link the integral benefit of harvester with gains of the extraction plant of Jatropha Curcas oil. It is concluded from the research that location of northern area generates more benefits because it has the greatest collection of Jatropha Curcas, while the southern area has the best transportation costs because it has like its principal activity the cultivation of corn, so, Jatropa Curcas transport is associated with this product.
