Este trabajo de tesis se desarrolla en la Cooperativa de Transportes “Carlos Brito B”, la cooperativa en mención se dedica al transporte de pasajeros hacia las afueras del Cantón Mejía. El principal problema de la Cooperativa, radica en la falta de un manual en el que consten los lineamientos que se deben seguir dentro del área contable, por lo que esta ausencia provoca registros tardíos, llevando así a un caos para la presentación de información hacia los socios y directivos de la entidad. Al efectuar el análisis de la metodología para el registro y ejecución de las operaciones contables de la Cooperativa Carlos Brito, la cual se desempeña en el área de transporte de pasajeros, se procedió a ejecutar el levantamiento de información de la situación actual de la entidad y se evidencio problemas puntuales en el área contable respecto al registro de las operaciones contables, cumplimiento con entidades de control, y pago indebido por parte de los socios de la misma. En base a la información recopilada, se pudo realizar el análisis y posibles escenarios de mejoras continuas, al iniciar planteándose un manual contable para evitar falta de registros y así dar seguimiento a cada uno de los procesos que la entidad no tenía establecidos.
This investigation is done in the Cooperativa de Transportes “Carlos Brito B”, this cooperative transports passenger’s to the outskirts of the Mejía county. The main problem the Cooperative has is that they do not have a manual with the guidelines which must be followed in the accounting area. Creates a problem of late accounting records, with a chaotic situation for the presentation of the information to the shareholders and the directors of this entity. The analysis of the methodology for registering and execution of the accounting operations of the Cooperativa Carlos Brito, which works in the passenger transportation business started by collecting the information of the actual situation of this entity and showed that there are specific problems in the accounting area. Those are the registration of the accounting operations, the fulfillment of the requirements of the control entities and the wrong payment to the shareholders. Based on the information collected, an analysis was made and its possible scenarios for continuous improvements. Starting with an accounting manual to avoid missing records, that allows tracing each one of the processes that the entity did not register.
