La época victoriana en la ciudad de Londres es el escenario donde Charles Dickens se inspiraba en la creación y difusión de sus obras. Charles Dickens pensaba que las obras literarias debían ser presentadas tanto para la clase privilegiada como para la proletaria, es por eso que sus obras poseen un lenguaje fácil de comprender para el lector. En una época donde las industrias y un nuevo modo de vida se implementan, cambiaron todo en la sociedad que presenció el paso de la agricultura a la fábrica, para ello se ha realizado un paso por la historia y los principales componentes de la sociedad en esta época. Oliver Twist y David Copperfield son dos de las obras de Dickens, que representan a la sociedad de la clase baja y la burguesa. Dickens supo manifestar los maltratos que sufrían los niños que no tenían padres ni tutores que velaran por ellos. Para poder concluir esta investigación se propone un relato en donde estos dos personajes se encuentran, haciendo una comparación entre la vida que estos dos tuvieron.
The Victorian era in the city of London is the setting where Charles Dickens was inspired by the creation and dissemination of his works. Charles Dickens thought that literary works should be presented to both the privileged class and the proletarian class, which is why his works have an easy to understand language for the reader. In an age where industries and a new way of life are implemented, they changed everything in the society that witnessed the transition from agriculture to the factory, for this has been made a step through history and the main components of society in this era. Oliver Twist and David Copperfield are two of works of Dickens, which represent the lower class and the bourgeois. Dickens knew how to manifest the abuses that children had not had parents or guardians to watch over them. In order to conclude this investigation, a story is proposed where these two characters are, making a comparison between the life that these two had.
