Frente a la necesidad de contar con un gran canal hidrodinámico y estructuras hidráulicas de prueba con dimensiones mayores respecto al canal que se encuentra en el Laboratorio de Investigaciones Hidráulicas de la U.C.E., Facultad de Ingeniería, Ciencias Físicas y Matemática (Sección transversal 0,10 m x 0,30 m y longitud de 3,00 m), surge la idea de plantear este proyecto de graduación, tomando en cuenta que será un gran aporte para la Facultad. El canal hidrodinámico será de una longitud de 11.55 metros y 0.375 m x 0.40 m de sección transversal, la cual será suficiente para poder visualizar los flujos producidos en el canal. Las estructuras hidráulicas a construir serán: Perfil Creager con Salto tipo Esquí Libre. Canaleta Parshall. Sifón Normal. Contracción Hidráulica. Posteriormente se realizarán pruebas para comprobar los fenómenos hidráulicos y finalmente se realizará una guía práctica para cada una de las estructuras hidráulicas.
Faced with the need for a large hydrodynamic channel and hydraulic test structures with larger dimensions relative to the channel that is in the Laboratory of Hydraulic Research of UCE, Faculty of Engineering, Physical Sciences and Mathematics (cross section 0.10 m x 0.30 m and length 3.00 m), the idea of raising this graduation project, considering it will be a great contribution to the Faculty. The hydrodynamic channel will have a length of 11.55 meters and 0.375 m x 0.40 m cross section, which is sufficient to visualize the flows produced in the channel. The hydraulic structures to build are: Creager Profile with Free Ski type Jump. Parshall Gutter. Normal Siphon. Hydraulic Contraction. Later tests will be performed to check the hydraulic phenomena and finally make a practical guide for each of the hydraulic structures.
