El objetivo del presente trabajo de titulación es realizar una propuesta para el mejoramiento del sistema de control de costos para el servicio de alojamiento del hotel NÜ HOUSE EMPRESA NUHOTELS S.A , este sistema nos permite evaluar si los controles informales existentes en las diferentes áreas son oportunos y efectivos; y así mejorar los sistemas que identifiquen las falencias en los mismos, además se establecerán medidas que permitan prevenir, detectar y corregir oportunamente los errores e irregularidades significativas que puedan ocurrir en el hotel. Para ello se aplicó el Sistema U.S.AL.I (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) su traducción más adecuada, Sistema Uniforme de Contabilidad para la Industria de Alojamiento la cual tiene como objetivo fundamental controlar y medir la eficiencia, mediante un adecuado sistema de registro y control presupuestario y un esquema racional de análisis financiero operacional, considerando todas las tendencias actuales a nivel mundial en cuanto a la explotación hotelera y a la presentación de sus resultados. Para orientar la realización de esta investigación se conceptualizó temas de Control de Costos, así como también se preparó un sistema a seguir, después de esto se presenta la propuesta del sistema de control de costos para el servicio de alojamiento, contiene la estructura de cómo debemos mejorar los costos y como se debe distribuir , para poder llegar a un costo por tipo de habitación, se desarrollaron conclusiones y recomendaciones que permitirán mejorar las falencias encontradas en la misma, siempre y cuando el Gerente de la Empresa las acoja.
The purpose of the current degree work is making a proposal to improve the cost control system for the lodging service at NÜ HOUSE EMPRESA NUHOTELS S.A. The system allows us assessing if informal controls existing in diverse areas are timely and effective, in order to improve systems to identify failures. Additionally, measures addressed to prevent, detect and timely correct significant errors and irregularities will be installed. Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry U.S.AL.I was applied, whose most adequate translation is Accountancy Uniform System for the Lodging Industry, mostly intended to control and measure efficiency, through an adequate budget logging and control system and a rational system scheme for operational financial analysis, by considering all current world trends on hotel operation and results report. In order to orient the conduction of the current investigation, cost control was defined, and a system to be applied. Then, a proposal on the cost control system was proposed for the lodging service that contains a structure of how to improve costs and distribute to obtain the cost per room. Conclusions and recommendations were posed to improve failures, expecting for the General Manager to accept them.
