Las familias ávidas por alojar a un niño dentro de sus hogares y paulatinamente poder hacer que se reconozca como hijo de ellos se encuentran con varias dificultades no solo a nivel del trámite sino también al momento de establecer los vínculos. En la presente investigación se realizó un recorrido por el contexto de la adopción, por el proceso de estructuración del niño y el papel que juegan las funciones paterna y materna en el mismo, así como los problemas que trae consigo dicho proceso tanto para los padres que desean adoptar, para el niño y para las instituciones de acogida; siendo el niño el protagonista de la historia, quien pasará por varios cambios antes de poder establecerse en un hogar. La unión entré las técnicas de recolección de datos y las teorías de varios autores respecto de la infancia, la adopción, así como la familia, permitieron repensar la idea de si el proceso de adopción es siempre traumático en la misma medida para todos los infantes que atraviesan este proceso. Pues se pudo notar que no todo proceso de adopción debe ser traumático para el niño, sin embargo, pueden presentarse algunas dificultades que surgen a partir de la forma en que fueron alojados en los lugares de acogida. El correcto acompañamiento de profesionales de la salud mental puede favorecer que se apacigüen dichos conflictos en la medida de lo posible.
Families eager to house a child in their homes and gradually be able to have him or her recognized as their child encounter various difficulties not only at the process level but also at the time of establishing links. In the present investigation, a tour was carried out through the context of adoption, through the process of structuring the child and the role played by the paternal and maternal functions in it, as well as the problems that this process brings with it both for the parents who they wish to adopt, for the child and for the foster institutions; being the child the protagonist of the story, who will go through several changes before being able to settle in a home. The union between the data collection techniques and the theories of various authors regarding childhood, adoption, as well as the family, allowed us to rethink the idea of whether the adoption process is always traumatic to the same extent for all infants who go through this process. Well, it was noted that not every adoption process should be traumatic for the child, however, some difficulties may arise that arise from the way they were housed in the foster homes. The correct accompaniment of mental health professionals can favor the appeasement of these conflicts as far as possible.
