El presente trabajo de Titulación surge de la necesidad de convertir a la ciudad de Durán en fuente de enseñanza y encuentro social, conlleva al planteamiento del proyecto de Biblioteca Pública. Su propósito es crear un escenario de encuentro cultural que permita generar espacios donde se realicen diversas actividades direccionadas a la lectura y contemplación. La transición de espacios es un factor importante para lograr una conexión entre los usuarios y el entorno, creando espacios flexibles que permita fomentar y potenciar las actividades que se realizan dentro y fuera del edificio. La relación interior-exterior se dan por medio de plazas públicas, comercial y halls. Se proyecta visuales hacia el exterior creando zonas de contemplación que permita fomentar la lectura. A través del análisis contextual y social se determinan nueve puntos estratégicos que sirve como base para el desarrollo del proyecto y propuesta urbana que responde a los programas de biblioteca, salas multifuncionales, cafetería y plaza.
The present work of Titling arises from the need to convert Durán city into a source of teaching and social encounter, leads to the planning of the Public Library project. Its purpose is to create a scenario of cultural encounter that allows the creation of spaces where different activities aimed at reading and contemplation can be carried out. The transition of spaces is an important factor in achieving a connection between users and the environment, creating flexible spaces that allow for the promotion and strengthening of the activities carried out inside and outside the building. The interior-exterior relationship is through public squares, shopping malls and halls. Visuals are projected outwards, creating areas of contemplation to encourage reading. Through contextual and social analysis, nine strategic points are identified that serve as the basis for the development of the project and urban proposal that responds to the programs of library, multifunctional rooms, cafeteria and plaza.
