La práctica del periodismo de largo aliento en Ecuador : análisis del portal GK y la revista Cartón Piedra.

El presente trabajo de titulación tuvo como principal motivación el hecho de que en Guayaquil el periodismo de largo aliento se personifica en la crónica narrativa, además de la mezcla de múltiples géneros literarios se utiliza el simbolismo de las palabras e imagen, reforzando el sentido mismo de la realidad que se intenta describir. La investigación se centró en el análisis del periodismo de largo aliento, a partir del estudio en el contexto de la ciudad de Guayaquil en Cartón Piedra, revista del diario El Telégrafo y GK, portal web; dos medios que han sido identificados como los principales representantes del mencionado género periodístico. Para el desarrollo del presente trabajo se sustentó teóricamente la investigación, indagando sobre sus antecedentes, evolución y se identificaron los indicadores que pueden utilizarse para su caracterización. Además, se identificó las causas de la periodicidad de publicación de periodismo de largo aliento en Guayaquil a partir de entrevistas en profundidad y revisión bibliográfica. En tal sentido, se efectuó un estudio profundo de las publicaciones realizadas por los medios objeto de estudio, que permitió a la autora de esta investigación comprender a cabalidad qué es el periodismo de largo aliento, y determinar que entre las principales limitaciones que encuentran los autores de este género se encuentran el largo tiempo y elevado costo de realización de trabajos de este tipo, en contraposición con el escaso interés de la mayoría de los lectores en la actualidad.
The main motivation of the present work was the fact that in Guayaquil longterm journalism is personified in the narrative chronicle, besides the mixture of multiple literary genres the symbolism of words and image is used, reinforcing the meaning itself of the reality that is trying to describe. The research focused on the analysis of long-term journalism, based on the study in the context of the city of Guayaquil in Cartón Piedra, journal of the newspaper El Telégrafo and GK, web portal; two media that have been identified as the main representatives of the aforementioned journalistic genre. For the development of the present work, the research was theoretically based, investigating its antecedents, evolution and identifying the indicators that can be used for its characterization. In addition, the causes of the publication periodicity of longterm journalism in Guayaquil were identified from in-depth interviews and bibliographic review. In this regard, an in-depth study was made of the publications made by the media under study, which allowed the author of this research to fully understand what is long-term journalism, and determine that among the main limitations found by the authors of this kind are the long time and high cost of carrying out works of this type, in contrast to the scarce interest of most readers today.
