Description

The parish of Guápulo belongs to the metropolitan district of Quito DMQ and is considered a heritage area, because of the tangible and intangible values found in the neighborhood, like its architecture, its environment and its particular location, these are reasons to preserve Guápulo. Currently, this site presents both social and physical problems, but after making an analysis, which results in several guidelines to intervene in the appropriate manner. The architectural project works as limit for the growth of the city. The concept of the project is to become the point where the city stops being the spotlight and green areas begin to take center stage in space, the project makes a gap between the urban and the strip of natural protection through semi-urban areas of agricultural productive, it also adapts to the conditions analyzed during the design process and strategies of passive architecture are introduced. The project provides a closed system of self-supply of food for its inhabitants and also sources of work, because the surplus of production is destined to trade.
La parroquia de Guápulo perteneciente al distrito metropolitano de Quito DMQ es considerada como área patrimonial, y es gracias a los valores tangibles e intangibles que se encuentran en el sector, su arquitectura, su entorno y su particular ubicación, son razones para que el lugar sea preservado. Actualmente este sitio presenta problemáticas tanto sociales como físicas que luego de realizar un análisis que dio como resultado varios lineamientos guías para poder intervenir en la zona de manera apropiada. El proyecto arquitectónico funciona como límite de crecimiento de la ciudad, ya que conceptualmente es el punto donde la ciudad se difumina y las zonas verdes empiezan a tomar protagonismo en el espacio, hace un intervalo entre la zona urbana y la franja de protección natural mediante una zona semi-urbana de carácter productivo agrícola, se adapta a las condiciones analizadas durante el proceso de diseño y se introducen estrategias de arquitectura pasiva. El proyecto impone un sistema cerrado de autoabastecimiento de alimentos para sus habitantes al igual que fuentes de trabajo ya que el excedente de producción es dirigido al comercio.
