This project is based on research of the change of sex by gender on IDs. On December 10th, the Ecuadorian Congress approved the new law about the management of identity and civil data (Ley Orgánica de Gestión de la Identidad y Datos Civiles) with the objective of giving to the transgender community the option to choose in their ID the gender they most identify with. Since this law was approved, there are not investigations about what happened with the transgender people after this change was done. That is why this research revolves around three transsexual characters who tell us their opinion about this new law. Each of their stories show the human side of the character and their experiences in daily situations like discrimination at work and in their personal and private life.
Este trabajo se basa en la investigación del cambio de sexo por género en la cédula. La asamblea constituyente aprobó el 10 de diciembre del 2015 la nueva Ley Orgánica de Gestión de la Identidad y Datos Civiles con el objetivo de dar a la comunidad trans la opción de colocar el género con el que se identifican. Desde que fue aprobada la ley, no existen investigaciones de lo que sucedió con las personas trans luego de que se hicieron este cambio. Por eso esta investigación gira alrededor de tres personajes transexuales, los cuales cuentan su opinión frente a la ley. Cada historia muestra el lado humano del protagonista y sus experiencias en situaciones cotidianas, como la discriminación que afrontan en su vida laboral y privada.
