The implementation of a thematic museum of Quito bullfighting tradition in the Plaza Belmonte is based on the development of the history of bullfighting that the city of Quito, which, it was taking root in the population during the period of colonial and current times, to thus keep alive an important part of the Quito idiosyncrasy, which is one of the attractions of the Ecuadorian capital, as is being lost by the controversy of the new ways of thinking. The interior design will have the Plaza de Toros Belmonte, aims to establish a single and specific museum, the diverse chain of museums that reflect the history of the capital, it should be emphasized that this design does not seek the return of bullfights, if not, that the different stages and evolutions that has had both taurine architecture as bullfighting in the city exposed. The different areas proposed for museum display, will be reflected in the design of spaces, such as; upstairs, reception - lobby, gallery of national and international bullfighting art, taurus Store, and bullfighting bar; ground floor living area, permanent exhibition area, temporary exhibition area, café and a photographic exhibition of the Quito bullfighting. The thematic museum bullfighting tradition, collecting historical data for your design, as it seeks to take up the cover that kept the Plaza Belmonte in 1954, to be implanted with new materials while maintaining the essence of the design.
La implementación de un museo temático de la tradición taurina quiteña en la Plaza Belmonte está fundamentado en el desarrollo de la historia de la tauromaquia que posee la ciudad de Quito, la cual, se fue arraigando en la población durante el periodo de la colonial y los tiempos actuales, para que de esta manera se mantenga viva una parte importante de la idiosincrasia quiteña, que es uno de los atractivos turísticos de la capital ecuatoriana, ya que se está perdiendo por la controversia de las nuevas formas de pensamiento. El diseño interiorista que tendrá la Plaza de Toros Belmonte, tiene como objetivo instaurar un museo único y especifico de la tauromaquia quiteña a la diversa cadena de museos que reflejan la historia de la capital, cabe recalcar que este diseño, no busca el regreso de las corridas de toros, si no, que se exponga las diferentes etapas y evoluciones que ha tenido, tanto la arquitectura taurina, como la tauromaquia en la ciudad. Las diferentes áreas que se proponen para la exhibición del museo, estarán reflejadas en el diseño de espacios, tales como; en planta alta, recepción – lobby, galería de arte taurino nacional e internacional, tauro tienda, y bar taurino; en planta baja, área de estar, área de exposición permanente, área de exposición temporal, cafetería y exposición fotográfica de la tauromaquia quiteña. EL museo temático de la tradición taurina quiteña, recoge datos históricos para su diseño, puesto que se propone retomar la cubierta que mantenía la Plaza Belmonte en el año 1954, para ser implantada con nuevos materiales pero manteniendo la esencia del diseño.
