This work of titling of the mastery of journalism of the University of the Americas, is based on the narration of experiences, values and principles, that through 10 interviews with important personages of the society, have left mark. The interviews focus on people who, in their wake, saved lives, set up businesses, acted in politics, built a country in a hurry from the place they chose and with the resources they had at hand. With vocation, talent, enthusiasm and volutad they maintained their principles saying without saying “In this I believe”. As author I intend to keep alive in the memory names of proactive characters, what they did and how they did it, without necessarily having as an end the money. The characters you interviewed tell us about a provincial country full of virtues and defects, which considered the limits that demanded respect. An Ecuador that is diluting in the growing urbanism and social urgency.
Este trabajo de titulación de la maestría de periodismo de la Universidad de las Américas, se basa en la narración de vivencias, valores y principios, que a través de 10 entrevistas a personajes importantes de la sociedad, han dejado huella. Las entrevistas dirigen la mirada hacia personas que a su paso salvaron vidas, levantaron empresas, actuaron en política, construyeron un país a pulso desde el lugar que escogieron y con los recursos que tuvieron a mano. Con vocación, talento, entusiasmo y voluntad mantuvieron sus principios diciendo sin pronunciar “En esto creo”. Como autor me propongo mantener vivos en la memoria nombre de personajes proactivos, lo que hicieron y cómo lo hicieron, sin tener necesariamente como fin el dinero. Los personajes que entreviste nos hablan de un país provinciano lleno de virtudes y defectos, que consideraban los límites que le exigía el respeto. Un Ecuador que va diluyendo en el creciente urbanismo y urgencia social.
