The present work provides criteria and tools for the development and implementation of a Health and Safety Plan for construction works, showing as an example of application a Guide for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards to a real work of building. The thesis takes as a reference to the International System of Occupational Health and Safety Management OHSAS 18001, the ecuadorian technical standards of health and safety in the construction sector. And a specific plan for the project "Eurobuilding Hotel Quito". The implementation of this guide aims to manage health and safety in the working environment in an efficient manner, making an impact on the productivity of the company and reducing the rates of accidents at work. In this context, the approach that has been taken in this thesis is to develop a Guide to Health and Safety analysis, based on concepts, principles, laws, standards and methodologies of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System OHSAS 18001.
El presente trabajo brinda criterios y herramientas para la elaboración e implementación de un Plan de Seguridad y Salud para obras de construcción, mostrando como ejemplo de aplicación una Guía de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales a una obra de edificación real. La tesis toma como referencia al Sistema Internacional de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional OHSAS 18001, las normas técnicas ecuatorianas de seguridad y salud en el sector de la construcción. Y se plasma en un plan específico para el proyecto en ejecución “Hotel Eurobuilding Quito”. La implementación de esta guía pretende gestionar la seguridad y la salud en el entorno de trabajo de una manera eficiente, logrando un impacto en la productividad de la empresa y reduciendo los índices de siniestralidad laboral. Bajo este contexto, el enfoque que se ha dado en la presente tesis es el de elaborar una Guía de Seguridad y Salud detallado basado en conceptos, principios, leyes, normas y metodologías del Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud ocupacional OHSAS 18001.
