Esmeraldas, the green province as it is known by many people, has 3 terminals, an aerial that was inaugurated in 2014 after a restoration process, a maritime that is responsible of the country imports and exports and a buses terminal that receives most of the country bus cooperatives; this is located in the south of the city, in the Codesas neighborhood. The buses terminal was inaugurated in 2009 with the name of Puerto Green with a total area of 35,800 square meter, where only 6,835 square meter are of construction. This project seeks to satisfy the needs of its population and in addition to domestic and foreign tourists, who have seen the city day by day as the main tourist destination. It seeks to provide the city a bus terminal with commercial premises of better quality that are functional and respond to the needs of its users. The main objective of this project is to create environments that are comfortable for passengers by using ergonomic furniture that will make their waiting pleasant, use new technologies, as feasible electrical systems that help the environment with the energy and economic saving of the city and finally create areas that are interactive, that are directly related to the exterior to be able to offer freshness and illumination to the spaces.
Esmeraldas, la provincia verde como es conocida por muchos, cuenta con 3 terminales, uno aéreo que se inauguró en el 2014 después de un proceso de restauración, uno marítimo que es el encargado de las importaciones y exportaciones del país y un terminal terrestre que recibe a la mayoría de las cooperativas de buses del país; este se encuentra ubicado en el sur de la ciudad, en el barrio Codesa. Su inauguración fue en el año 2009 con el nombre de Puerto Green con un área total de 35.800 metros cuadrado, donde solo 6.835 metros cuadrado son de construcción. Este proyecto busca satisfacer las necesidades de su población y además de turistas nacionales y extranjeros, que día a día han visto la ciudad como punto principal turístico de llegada. Se procura proveer a la ciudad de Esmeraldas un terminal terrestre con locales comerciales de mejor calidad que sean funcionales y respondan a las necesidades de sus usuarios. Como objetivos principales de este trabajo de titulación es crear ambientes que sean acogedores para los pasajeros mediante la utilización de mobiliarios ergonómicos que hagan placentera su espera, utilizar nuevas tecnologías, como sistemas eléctricos factibles que ayuden al medio ambiente con el ahorro energético y económico de la ciudad y por último crear áreas que sean interactivas, que se encuentren directamente relacionadas con el exterior para poder brindar frescura e iluminación a los espacios.
