The objective of this dissertation was to reflect the managment of informative sources in the newspapers of the country, with the only aim of finding mechanisms that improve the periodistic quality inside our country and, through information, reach a strong democratic nation. Four written media of Ecuador were evaluated in the managment of sources, specifically in the media process of the presidencial objection of the Reformatory Organic Law to the Electoral Organic Law and of Political Organizations, Democracy Code. The newspapers of the three months (January, February and March) of 2012, were taken as sample. The ones that did not publish news about our subject were discarded. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo reflejar el manejo de las fuentes informativas de los diarios del país. Con la única finalidad de buscar mecanismos que mejoren la calidad periodística del país y, a través de la información, llegar a construir una sociedad más democrática. Se estudió la situación de cuatro medios impresos del Ecuador sobre la utilización de fuentes en un proceso mediático relevante como el veto presidencial de Ley Orgánica Reformatoria a la Ley Orgánica Electoral y de Organizaciones Políticas, Código de la Democracia. Se tomó como muestra los periódicos de tres meses (enero, febrero y marzo) del 2012, se descartó aquellos donde no se publicaron noticias referentes al tema.
