At the present time, there are several tools and methodologies that allow the industries to study the processes, evaluate them and generate the necessary information to be able to improve them continuously and make them competitive according to the needs of a constantly changing business environment. The present study has been carried out in the oil transportation company OCP Ecuador and has focused exclusively on the improvement of the Reliability process that is in charge of the general maintenance of the oil pipeline. With this main objective, the necessary information has been collected to determine the level of performance of the activities that are executed in the process, which allowed to focus on the analysis of the tasks that need more attention, and that is how with all the information obtained we proceeded to define a proposal of an improvement plan whose objective is to increase the performance of the process in general.
En la actualidad existen varias herramientas y metodologías que permiten a las empresas estudiar los procesos, evaluarlos y generar información necesaria para poder mejorarlos continuamente y hacerlos competitivos según las necesidades del entorno que cambian constantemente. El presente estudio se ha realizado en la empresa transportadora de crudo OCP Ecuador y se ha enfocado exclusivamente en la mejora del proceso de Fiabilidad que se encarga del mantenimiento general del oleoducto. Con este objetivo se ha levantado la información necesaria para determinar el nivel de desempeño de las actividades que se ejecutan en el mismo, lo que permitió centrarse en el análisis de las tareas que necesitan mayor atención, y así es como con la totalidad de la información obtenida se procedió a definir una propuesta de plan de mejora cuyo objetivo es elevar el desempeño del proceso en general.
