The Syrian civil war has become an international phenomenon due to the complexity of its dimension and the increased number of players. Unfortunately, the international community has not found a solution to end the atrocities suffered by this nation. According to the experts, a civil war can end in two different ways: nurture or nature. The argument of nurture states that a civil war can come to an end only with the intervention of third parties (i.e. negotiation). However, the argument of nature states that a civil war can only end in an organic way (through no interference). The following research presents three key factors that explain why the Syrian civil war as not ended. All three factors show that the root cause is actually based on the idea of a nurture argument. The first one reflects the government's resilience in front of the complexity of the dimensions. The second factor proves the lack of interest by international organizations. And, the third factor reveals the interference of third parties (countries) inside the war. In analyzing these three factors, the research shows that under a nurture argument the Syrian civil war is likely to be ongoing, without a solution.
A 6 años de la guerra civil en Siria actores internacionales no han encontrado una solución factible para frenas las atrocidades que se viven dentro de esa nación debido a la complejidad de sus dimensiones se ha convertido en un acontecimiento internacional. Expertos deliberan que las guerras civiles terminan de dos diferentes maneras, ya sea mediante el argumento nurture donde las intervenciones de terceras partes posibilitan la terminación del conflicto o mediante el argumento nature donde la culminación de la guerra es orgánica. La idea nurture sin embargo se lo determina como un factor que prolonga la guerra. Esta investigación identificara tres factores principales encaminadas al argumento nurture el primer factor es la resistencia del gobierno ante la complejidad de las dimensiones el segundo factor es la falta de interés por parte de las Organizaciones Internacionales y el tercer factor es la injerencia de terceros países aplicados al caso de estudio Siria. Llegando a la conclusión de que bajo la idea nurture la guerra civil en Siria se extenderá por tiempo indeterminado debido a que existe una obstrucción ante la resolución del conflicto.
