The present investigation will serve to know which are the factors that influence in the development of the tourist activity of the Parish San Simón, since the sector counts on Natural and Cultural resources that would be used to undertake tourist activities. Through the investigation has been found 5 Natural and 6 cultural attractions, which can be exploited and promoted tourist to contribute to the tourist development of the parish, taking due precautions for the conservation of the environment. The natural attractions that San Simón counts are: Laguna Yana Cocha, La Chorrera Waterfall, Polylepis Forest, Rio Blanco Waterfall and the Cóndor Caca Cave; It also has cultural attractions such as the Church of San Simón, Feast to the Divine Child Jesus, Artisan Mill and the Carnival Festivals. In spite of having the Resources, the authorities have not given the necessary support for the development of tourism and at present there is no development of any type of tourist activity. Through the investigation, the attractions in the area were recognized. which through their exploitation would serve as a contribution to improve the economy of communities and surrounding sectors, given that tourism is now considered an important factor for the country's development; Likewise, the social, economic and environmental factors that influenced the parish's tourist development were identified. The most common are the lack of instruction to the inhabitants, environmental contamination and lack of access to places that possess the resources that could be used as tourist potential. The present research used the methods: qualitative where the most outstanding characteristics of the Parish were known and quantitative by means of which the study of data of the settlers was carried out to realize the gathers. La presente investigación servirá para conocer cuáles son los factores que inciden en el desarrollo de la actividad turística de la Parroquia San Simón, en vista que el sector cuenta con recursos Naturales y Culturales que servirían para emprender actividades turísticas. A través de la investigación se ha encontrado 5 atractivos Naturales y 6 culturales, los cuales pueden ser explotados y promocionados turísticamente para aportar al desarrollo turístico de la parroquia, tomando las debidas precauciones para la conservación del medio Ambiente. Los atractivos Naturales con los que cuenta San Simón son: Laguna Yana Cocha, Cascada La Chorrera, Bosque Polylepis, Cascada Rio Blanco y la cueva Cóndor Caca; Así mismo cuenta con atractivos culturales como la Iglesia de San Simón, Fiesta al Divino Niño Jesús, Molino Artesanal y las Fiestas de Carnaval. A pesar de contar con los Recursos las autoridades no han dado el respaldo necesario para el emprendimiento del desarrollo turístico y en la actualidad no se encuentra desarrollada ningún tipo de actividad turística. A través de la investigación se reconoció los atractivos existentes en la zona, los cuales mediante su explotación servirían como aporte para mejorar la economía de las comunidades y de los sectores aledaños, en vista que en la actualidad el turismo es considerado como un factor importante para el desarrollo del País; así mismo se identificó los factores sociales, económicos y ambientales que inciden en el desarrollo turístico de la parroquia, los más comunes son la falta de instrucción a los pobladores, la contaminación ambiental y la falta de acceso a lugares que poseen los recursos que podrían ser utilizados como potencialidades turísticas. La presente investigación utilizó los métodos: cualitativo donde se conoció las características más sobresalientes de la Parroquia y cuantitativo mediante el cual se realizó el estudio de datos de los pobladores para realizar las encuetas.
