El presente trabajo fue realizado en la Escuela “Higinio Malavé” Cantón Guayaquil, Provincia del Guayas .Se contó con un universo de 173 estudiantes de 2do. A 7mo. Año de Educación Básica. A través del estudio descriptivo de corte Transversal, se aplicó una encuesta, para determinar los conocimientos y prácticas sobre higiene y parasitosis intestinal, en base a los resultados obtenidos el 75,72% de los niños y niñas tienen un conocimiento regular y el 24,28% de conocimientos bueno. Posteriormente se procedió a diseñar y ejecutar un guía educativa que fue implementada a través de intervenciones educativas con el método Activo Participativo utilizando exposiciones, lluvia de ideas (brainstorming), trabajos grupales, en temas de higiene personal, lavado de manos, cepillado dental, , higiene de la vivienda, higiene escolar, entre otros temas más, en donde se obtuvo resultados luego de las diferentes intervenciones, un incremento del 75.14% de conocimientos Buenos, y el 24.86% de conocimientos Regular, cuyo propósito fue mejorar los conocimientos sobre higiene y parasitosis intestinal en niños y niñas para proteger y conservar su salud.
This work was performed at the school "Higinio Malavé" Canton Guayaquil, Guayas province. It was a universe of 173 students of 2nd. and 7th. year of basic education.
