The technological development at present, has generated changes in the way of interrelating of the human being in all strata, cultural, interpersonal and educational. We are in a generation where the great majority is exposed to audiovisual technological advances from an early age; girls and boys who have grown up in the middle of daily updates in equipment and audiovisual media, it is imperative to orient this situation to favor significant learning and to develop basic cognitive skills using the benefits for the early development of psychomotor skills from an early age, specifically In this research work we evaluate the effect of the use of TICs as an educational tool to promote the visual memory of children of the first year of Basic Education of the School o "Isabel La Católica", for which a group was considered of 18 students and their respective high school teacher from the aforementioned context. An interview was applied to the teacher, through a guided questionnaire to the preschool students and a visual memory test before and after the intervention of the TICs as a didactic medium (selection and use of a software group) that would allow the high school teacher to achieve greater motivation and capture the attention of students in favor of developing their visual memory. The results determined that, in general, Tecnologica as a source of mediation and animation of learning, used in a didactic way, allowed to improve the skills related to the perception and visual memory of the group of high school students, for this fact it is recommended the programming of exercises, games, Web sites, among others that allow to strengthen the basic skills and inherent to the retention or active memory of visual type Key words: TICs – Visual memory – Cognitive development
El desarrollo tecnológico en la actualidad, ha generado cambios en la manera de interrelacionarse del ser humano en todos los estratos, culturales, interpersonales y educativos. Nos encontramos en una generación donde la gran mayoría está expuesto a avances tecnológicos audiovisuales desde edades tempranas; niños que han crecido en medio de actualizaciones diarias en equipos y medios audiovisuales, resulta importante orientar esta situación para favorecer aprendizajes significativos y desarrollar habilidades cognitivas básicas empleando las bondades de los TICs en desarrollo de habilidades psicomotoras desde edades tempranas, específicamente en el presente trabajo investigativo se evaluó el efecto del uso de la tecnología como herramienta educativa para promover la memoria visual de los niños del primer año de Educación Básica de la Escuela “Isabel La Católica”, para lo cual se consideró a un grupo de 18 estudiantes y su respectiva maestra de preparatoria del contexto antes mencionado. Se aplicó una entrevista al docente, mediante un cuestionario guiado a los párvulos y un test de memoria visual pre y post intervención de las TICs como medio didáctico (selección y uso de un grupo de software) que le permitió a la maestra de preparatoria lograr mayor motivación y captar la atención de los estudiantes para el desarrollar su memoria visual. Los resultados determinaron que en general la Tecnología como fuente de mediación y animación del aprendizaje, empleadas en forma didáctica permitieron mejorar las habilidades relacionadas con la percepción y memoria visual del grupo de estudiantes de preparatoria. Se recomienda la programación de ejercicios, juegos, sitios Web, que permitan fortalecer las habilidades básicas e inherentes a la retención o memoria activa de tipo visual.
