Tratamiento de intususcepción intestinal mediante la técnica quirúrgica de Enteropexia en caninos en el cantón Guaranda

En la investigación tuvo como principal objetivo el tratamiento de intususcepción en perros mediante la técnica de enteropexia, para lo cual se utilizaron 15 perros menores de un año de diferentes razas, donde se practicó la técnica quirúrgica, realizando exámenes de hematología y bioquímica sanguínea a fin de elaborar un plan anestésico de acuerdo a las necesidades individuales de los pacientes. En la investigación se obtuvo que el 53.3% fueron machos y el 46.7 % fueron hembras. Se observó que no existió predilección de acuerdo al sexo para la presentación de esta patología; utilizando cuatro razas de perros; pastor alemán, chow-chow, french poodle y mestizo, los de raza mestiza fueron quienes presentaron intususcepción con mayor frecuencia. La edad promedio fue de 6,8 meses, con pesos promedios de 5.3 kilogramos. Los pacientes no presentaron alteraciones en la frecuencia cardiaca, respiratoria y temperatura, antes y durante la cirugía. La técnica de enteropexia tuvo 100 % de efectividad en los pacientes intervenidos, y no se observaron recidivas. La cicatrización de las heridas cutáneas fue de 7.9 días
