En el presente proyecto se realizó un estudio para definir y mejorar las propiedades del producto de caucho obtenido a partir de la trituración de las llantas fuera de uso, mediante la experimentación en el proceso de fabricación de este producto. Para esto se efectuaron pruebas mediante la variación de algunos factores en el proceso, como temperatura, tiempo de mezclado, tiempo de prensado, cantidad de resina y cantidad de desmoldante. De los cuales se obtienen resultados del comportamiento de sus propiedades en diferentes muestras, con el fin de mejorar el proceso de fabricación de este producto. Primero, se determinó una metodología para analizar las características a evaluar del producto mediante las condiciones actuales del proceso de fabricación, de las cuales se observará las causas potenciales de falla y mejoras que se puedan implementar en la fabricación de este producto. Segundo, se realizó mejoras al proceso de fabricación de este producto, experimentando con algunas variables del proceso y características a ser evaluadas. Determinando qué cambios se deben realizar para obtener un producto de mejor calidad, mejorando sus propiedades y disminuyendo el producto no conforme obtenido por el proceso de fabricación. Tercero, se analizó comparativamente las propiedades y características del producto de caucho del actual y nuevo proceso de fabricación para validar las mejoras que otorga, así como los cambios necesarios que se deben realizar para obtener esta mejora. Adicional a esto se determinó que impacto sufre económicamente el producto, tanto en costos de proceso de fabricación, como el valor o precio final del piso de caucho. Notándose adicionalmente que se disminuyó en gran parte el producto no conforme, costo adicional que asumen por proceso y tiempo que toma para realizar la fabricación este material que en si no agrega valor debido a su mal conformado. Finalmente, se verificó las propiedades y características del producto final, del cual se observó un buen acabado superficial, excelente compactado exterior e interior. Esto se logró debido a la segregación del gránulo de caucho y cambios de algunas de las variables del proceso como tiempo de prensado, temperatura, resina, etc. Con el fin de garantizar la duración y calidad del producto fabricado por la empresa ECOCAUCHO.
A study was carried out to define and improve the properties of the rubber product obtained from the crushing of the tires out of use, through experimentation with the manufacturing process of this product. Tests were performed by varying some factors in the process such as temperature, mixing time, pressing time, amount of resin and amount of release agent. The project gets the results of properties variation in different samples and the improvement in the manufacturing process. First, a methodology was determined to analyze the characteristics to be evaluated of the product through the current conditions of the manufacturing process, in order to look at the potential causes of failures and improvements that can be implemented in the manufacture of this product. Second, improvements were made to the manufacturing process of this product, experimenting with some process variables and characteristics to be evaluated. Determining what changes must be made to obtain a better quality product, improving its properties and decreasing the nonconforming product obtained by the manufacturing process. Third, the properties and characteristics of the rubber product of the current and new manufacturing process were comparatively analyzed to validate the improvements it grants, as well as the necessary changes that must be made to obtain this improvement. In addition to this, it was determined that the product is economically affected, both in manufacturing process costs, as well as the value or final price of the rubber floor. Noting further that the non-compliant product would be greatly reduced, additional cost that is assumed by process and time it takes to make this material that does not add value due to its poorly formed. Finally, the properties and characteristics of the final product were verified, of which a good surface finish was observed, excellent exterior and interior vulcanization. This was achieved due to the segregation of the rubber granule and changes of some of the process variables such as pressing time, temperature, resin, etc. In order to guarantee the duration and quality of the product manufactured by the company ECOCAUCHO.
