Early stimulation performed at home for children, from birth, through early childhood is an important factor for psychomotor development; it plays an important role in the development of children personality, and in the development of their self- esteem. These aspects help children adapt to school as their closer familiar environment (Alvarez, 2009). This study analyzes the influence of stimulation given to children at home with the development of their self-esteem, integrating theoretical aspects of education and psychology. Taking in consideration the vision of psychology and education, this study will try to give a theoretical support that confirms the assertion raised “The benefits of home adequate stimulation in order to promote the development of self-esteem”. The study has compiled information about benefits of early stimulation in the development of children during early childhood and factors that help the development of children’s self-esteem at these ages. With this information it tries to find a relation between home stimulation and the development of self-esteem during early childhood years.
La estimulación temprana impartida en el hogar a los niños y niñas desde su nacimiento y durante la niñez temprana constituye un factor importante en el desarrollo psicomotor del infante y es un elemento a considerar en la formación de la personalidad del niño y el desarrollo de su autoestima que favorezca su adaptación al medio escolar como su realidad más cercana (Álvarez, 2009). El presente estudio pretende analizar la influencia de la estimulación que se da al niño en casa con el desarrollo de su autoestima, integrando los factores teóricos en el campo de la educación y de la psicología. Adoptando la visión psicopedagógica, se dará un sustento teórico que permita confirmar la afirmación planteada “Los beneficios de la estimulación adecuada en el hogar para promover el autoestima”. Se ha recopilado información acerca de los beneficios de la estimulación temprana en el desarrollo de los niños en su niñez temprana y los factores que favorecen el desarrollo de la autoestima en esta edad. Con esta información se busca encontrar una relación entre la adecuada estimulación impartida en el hogar con el desarrollo de la autoestima en la niñez temprana.
