Taller de educación sexual en estudiantes de diversidad étnica de la Universidad San Francisco de Quito

Sexuality is a very important part of human beings, and it’s a worldwide topic of current development. Sexuality should be carried out with out risk, it should be satisfactory and with full freedom of decision (OMS, 2014). Despite this, its more common and premature the imitation of sexual intercourse among the population, having negative effects such as unwanted pregnancies and the increase of sexual transmitted diseases (CERCA, 2011). The most alarming thing of it, its that most of the people that starts their sexual lives have a lack of sexual education that allows them to make mature and responsible decisions. It has been proven the existent correlation between a good reproductive health and education, having a huge impact not only psychologically, but also in a social and economic level. In the San Francisco University exist the necessity of creating a sexual workshop to a group of students form the Ethnical Diversity program. In this group there were identify several problems originated from the lack of knowledge on sexuality. The workshop focused mainly on increasing the knowledge and constant learning in sexual matters such as contraceptives use, birth control and sexual transmitted diseases, in the students of ethnic diversity. The statistical results prove that the hypothesis is valid proving that there is a significant difference in the learning before and after the workshop was given (t=14.65, p=<0.01). This was validated also by the number of errors committed, it was proven that the errors after the sexual workshop (X=8.26) were lower than those committed before the workshop (X=14.53).
La sexualidad es un componente muy importante en los seres humanos y de actual importancia a nivel mundial, debe ser esta llevada a cabo con el fin satisfactorio sin riesgos sobre la salud y con plena libertad de decisión (OMS, 2014). A pesar de esto cada vez son mas prematuras y comunes en la sociedad el inicio de las relaciones sexuales, teniendo repercusiones negativas como los embarazos no deseados y el incremento de enfermedades de transmisión sexual (CERCA, 2011. Lo mas alarmante es que la mayoría de estas personas que comienzan su vida sexual poseen una falta de educación sexual que les permita tomar decisiones con madurez y responsabilidad. Se ha demostrado que existe una correlación alta entre una buena salud reproductiva y la educación. El impacto que posee esto no solo es a nivel psicológico, si no también a nivel social y económico. Dentro de la Universidad San Francisco de Quito se trabajo brindando un taller de sexualidad a un grupo de estudiantes del programa de Diversidad Étnica. En este grupo se identificaron varios problemas que tenían origen en la falta de conocimiento en sexualidad. Principalmente el taller se enfoco en aumentar el conocimiento y aprendizaje en los estudiantes de diversidad étnica sobre la sexualidad y el uso de anticonceptivos. Los resultados estadísticos comprueban esta hipótesis demostrando que existe una diferencia significativa en el aprendizaje antes y después de brindado el taller (T=14,65, p=<0.01). Se demostró esto ya que el numero de errores cometidos después de impartido el taller (X=8,26) fueron menores que los cometidos antes del taller (x=14,53).
