In the first place the research “Architecture and landscape: a changing relationship” was developed. This research began with the uncertainty of whether there were specific rules about how to relate landscape and architecture. The first step was began the research with and historical background. This part of the investigation develops a temporal vision. It exposed how this vital relationship changed through the time. The second part of the research turned a look for a timeless vision. This was made possible through the analysis and comparison of several projects. The research ended with an hypothesis as a result and some conclusions. This parameters were used to develop the final project and check the research postulates. The hypothesis postulates that there are four kinds of relationships between landscape and architecture. Each one have it particular way to relate this two parts. The four types of relationships are: Under soil, above the soil, in the soil and an hybrid that is the mixture of the previous three.
Antes de iniciar la propuesta, inició la investigación del tema “ARQUITECTURA Y SUELO: Una relación cambiante”. Esta investigación se inició con la incógnita de saber si existían reglas específicas acerca de como relacionar la arquitectura y el terreno. El primer paso fue buscar respuestas a través de la historia lo que genero una visión temporal de como esta relación tan vital para conectar el objeto arquitectónico con el terreno fue cambiando a lo largo del tiempo. La segunda parte de la investigación se dirigió hacia buscar una visión atemporal. Esto fue posible gracias al análisis y comparación de varios proyectos que se agruparon por su parecido formal. La investigación terminó sacando algunas conclusiones y mas importante aun, generando una hipótesis que fue comprobada satisfactoriamente en el proyecto de fin de carrera. La hipótesis planteaba que existen 4 estrategias de relacionar la arquitectura con el suelo. Estas son estrategias tienen una manera propia formal y funcional de vincular estas dos partes. Las estrategias son: Elevado del suelo, hundido en el suelo, sobre el suelo y un híbrido que es la combinación de todas las anteriores.
