Healthy City : complejo de salud y bienestar

Description: Urbanization as global issue, impacts people’s way of living as well as it challenges health in the built environment. Healthy City is an urban proposal of the World Health Organization, in more than one hundred cities in Europe. It is a response to the actual way of living, proposing urban changes and the work in collaboration with politics and the citizens themselves. The approach to an active way of living starts from the design of an urban plan, where the city dwellers find a place and reasons to stay in urban areas.
La salud de las personas es un reflejo de cómo están diseñadas las ciudades. En este proyecto la oportunidad de diseño que existe sobre el vacío urbano que dejó el antiguo aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre en Quito, nos propone un nuevo reto de construir ciudad. La propuesta es una ciudad activa y saludable en la que ubicamos todos los servicios necesarios para que la urbe deje de expandirse. Y proyectar este centro urbano como un eje al cual la ciudad se integra y permite relacionarse con grandes espacios verdes y públicos.
