The Portrait is a short film of thirteen minutes approximately, that could be described as a psychological thriller. The story is about Jorge, an artist who has to deal with the death of his true love to whom he was painting a portrait. After his lover’s death, the artist is submitted in a state of shock, making it impossible for him to assimilate the death, and creating an obsession with finishing the portrait. In the process the artists starts loosing control and ends up killing accidentally a prostitute which he hires to use as a model for finishing the portrait. Once the portrait is finished Jorge returns to reality, assimilating everything that happened since his loss and becomes capable of showing his feelings and dealing with them.
El Retrato es un cortometraje de aproximadamente trece minutos de duración, que podría ser descrito como una thriller psicológico. Se trata de la historia de Jorge, un pintor que debe enfrentar la cruda realidad de la muerte del amor de su vida, a quien anteriormente estaba realizando un retrato. Tras la muerte de su amada el pintor se ve atrapado en un estado de shock, haciéndole imposible asimilar la muerte de la chica, lo que lo lleva a obsesionarse con terminar dicho retrato. En el proceso el pintor comienza a perder la cordura y termina matando accidentalmente a una prostituta a la que contrata de modelo con el fin de terminar el cuadro que había quedado a medias. Una vez terminado el cuadro el protagonista regresa a la realidad, asimila todo lo sucedido desde la muerte del amor de su vida y se muestra capaz de desahogarse.
