The following document projects the work of the designers in the future. Based on the review of existing technologies and the rapid evolution of the technology that has marked the last decades as premise, it is proposed a simulation of futuristic technological tools for the design work. The study showed that it is possible for future technology to offer the possibility of working in immersive and interactive virtual environments, where the user can work through gestures and movements; in addition, the prototyping activities could in some cases dispense the use of physical materials thanks to tactile simulation technologies of textures and materials. As a result, it was determined that technological tools in the future could contribute to saving resources (both money and time) as well as improving customer satisfaction; and more and better ways for the designer to use his/her creativity.
En el presente trabajo, se proyecta cuál podría ser la forma de trabajo de los diseñadores en el futuro. Con base en la revisión de tecnologías existentes actualmente y tomando como premisa la rápida evolución de la tecnología que ha marcado las últimas décadas, se propuso una simulación de herramientas tecnológicas futuristas para las labores de diseño. El estudio mostró que existe la posibilidad de que la tecnología futura ofrezca la posibilidad de trabajar en entornos virtuales inmersivos e interactivos, donde el usuario podrá trabajar a través de gestos y movimientos; y las actividades de prototipado podrían prescindir en algunos casos del uso de materiales físicos gracias a tecnologías de simulación táctil de texturas y materiales. Como resultado se determinó que las herramientas tecnológicas aportarían en el ahorro de recursos (tanto en dinero como en tiempo), así como mejoramiento de la satisfacción del cliente; y, más y mejores vías para que el diseñador utilice su creatividad.
