En el trabajo de investigación se pretende emplear la inteligencia emocional para mejorar la autoconciencia, control emocional, motivación, empatía y habilidades sociales en los estudiantes de séptimo grado de educación general básica paralelos B y E de la Unidad Educativa Luis A. Martínez, con esto para fortalecer la relación interpersonal y comunicación para que logren un desarrollo personal. El sistema educativo del país trabajaba solo en el desarrollo cognitivo con la finalidad de dotarlos de herramientas que les permitan desenvolverse dentro de la sociedad, sin atender aspectos como la inteligencia emocional y el desarrollo personal. Por todo lo expuesto se plantea la aplicación de Talleres de Inteligencia emocional a fortalecer el desarrollo personal.
