El presente proyecto de investigación tuvo como propósito determinar sala de estimulación multisensorial y su efecto en el desarrollo psicomotor en niños con parálisis cerebral infantil de 1 a 2 años, el proyecto se realizó en la fundación de niños Especiales San Miguel del cantón Salcedo. Para esto se contó con 10 niños y niñas con Parálisis Cerebral Infantil, 5 niños de la sala multisensorial y 5 de la sala de estimulación temprana. Para la evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor se usó la Guía Portage, la cual fue de suma importancia, ya que permite conocer el nivel del desarrollo de acuerdo a la edad, en la cual se obtuvo como resultados de los niños que asisten a la sala de estimulación multisensorial presentan mayor destreza en la realización de actividades, en comparación a los niños a la sala de estimulación temprana, además contribuye al desarrollo psicomotor de los niños con Parálisis Cerebral Infantil, ya que ofrece estímulos semejantes al entorno, a la vez les facilita el desenvolvimiento en el medio que los rodea.
The present research project aimed to determine a multisensory stimulation room and its effect on psychomotor development in children with cerebral palsy for 1 to 2 years, the project was carried out in the foundation of children Special San Miguel Canton Salcedo. For this we had ten children with cerebral palsy, five children from the multisensory room and five from the early stimulation room.
